Thru the years Original Series: Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire. During the battle, Rebel spies managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the Death Star, an armored space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet. Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) It is a dark time for the Rebellion. Although the Death Star has been destroyed, Imperial troops have driven the Rebel forces from their hidden base and pursued them across the galaxy. Evading the dreaded Imperial Starfleet, a group of freedom fighters led by Luke Skywalker has established a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth. The evil lord Darth Vader, obsessed with finding young Skywalker, has dispatched thousands of remote probes into the far reaches of space... Star Wars: The Return of the Jedi (1983) The high-energy, special-effects-laden conclusion to George Lucas's ambitious Star Wars trilogy delivers the final confrontation between Luke Skywalker and his nemesis-father, Darth Vader , as the rebel alliance makes its last stand against the evil Empire. The film opens with an impressive set piece in the cave of the monstrous Jabba the Hut, who holds both Han Solo and Princess Leia for his decadent pleasure until Skywalker comes to the rescue. The final battle pits an enormous armada of rebel ships against the rebuilt Death Star, the planet-killing weapon of the first film, while guerrilla forces battle Empire soldiers on the planet below with the help of a cuddly army of pint-sized, teddy-bear-like creatures known as Ewoks and Skywalker confronts Vader and the emperor on the Deathstar Series now a days: Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace(1999) The first of three prequels to George Lucas’s celebrated STAR WARS films, EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE is set some 30 years before the original STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE in the era of the Republic. Naboo, a peaceful planet governed by the young but wise Queen Amidala, is being threatened by the corrupt Trade Federation, puppets of an evil Sith lord and his terrifying apprentice, Darth Maul. Jedi knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi are called on to intervene in the trade disputes. Along the way, they acquire an apprentice of their own in the form of young prodigy Anakin Skywalker, or as STAR WARS fans know him, the future Darth Vader. Star Wars Episode II: The Attack of the Clones(2002) The story is set 10 years after STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE. In the second installment of the Star Wars series, EPISODE II--ATTACK OF THE CLONES, Anakin Skywalker is now a teenage Jedi apprentice to Obi-Wan Kenobi. Together they must protect Senator Padme Amidala from a militant group of political activists that is trying to assassinate her. This group is led by the evil Count Dooku. Among other troubles, Anakin faces some hard choices as he begins to fall for Padme, knowing this love is forbidden by the Jedi knights' creed. In addition, Anakin begins to show his rebellious attraction to the dark side--wh will eventually conquer him, when he becomes the future Darth Vader.
